What is a Room Parent?

A Room Parent is a parent volunteer that helps disseminate information to and from the HSA, parents, and teacher. Room Parents help to coordinate volunteers for various classroom activities, class parties, and for specific HSA events.  Room Parents are not expected to do everything themselves -- a great room parents helps get other parents involved by recruiting parent participation throughout the year.  Room Parents coordinate the homeroom Phone Tree, Teacher (and Assistant) Birthday recognition, Christmas Collection, and other items as requested by the homeroom teacher.
