STM Home and School Association

Dear STM School Families:

I hope you had a very enjoyable summer, and on behalf of the STM Home and School Association (HSA) I welcome you to a new school year.

To our returning families, I extend my sincere thanks for your time and for the sacrifices you have made on behalf of the HSA and our STM community. I hope we can once again call on you to share your talents not only to support our efforts but to engage and mentor new families. And to the families who join us for the first time this year, we are especially pleased to welcome you.  The HSA is an organization (analogous to a PTA) that is comprised of all STM parents and faculty. HSA supports the school in a variety of ways – all of which depend on parent volunteers! HSA offers many opportunities to volunteer, and I encourage you to become involved.  Not only will your participation benefit your child(ren) and contribute to the ongoing success of this school community, but it is also a means of making new friends, sharing mutual experiences, gaining a unique sense of fulfillment…. and having fun!

On this web site you will find a list of volunteer opportunities, which gives a brief overview of the HSA and description of our committees; a contact list of board members (officers and committee chairs); a calendar of events and important dates; and instructions for access and subscribing to the HSA web site and email list system.  Please read this important material and feel free to contact any board member with questions or suggestions. Additional HSA information will be conveyed in the coming weeks.

HSA endeavors to keep the STM community well informed. General and committee-specific information is routinely communicated through the HSA web site and bi-weekly school newsletter (the Knight Times). HSA meetings, which are open to everyone in the school community, are held on the second Tuesday of each month at 7 pm in the school library. Please join us.
