Q: Will there still be paper lunch forms?
A: No, paper lunch forms are not required for the new system. All orders should be placed online at: www.stmhsa.org/lunch
Q: How do I place my order online?
A: Parents should go online to the website www.stmhsa.org/lunch and login by entering your username and password. Your username is typically your last name and last 4 digits of your phone number (ex., smith1234) and may be found on the label at the top left corner of the sheet sent home in your start of year packet. The initial password is appletree -- even for families who participated in the trial runs of the system in the 2005-06 school year. All passwords were reset to “appletree”, but you will be prompted to change your password at first entry into the ordering system.
Once logged on, follow the instructions and the menu options online to place the monthly lunch orders for your children. This is similar to other online shopping you may have done.
After placing your order, send payment for the total amount of the lunch order to one of your child’s teachers.
Payment may be made by check (preferred) or cash (in an envelope). Please make checks payable to “STM Lunch Program” & write the Order ID # from the online system in the memo line. One check or cash payment may be sent for the whole family.
Q: When must my check be received?
A: Your check must be received by the due date to allow your order to be included in the vendor order for the month.
Q: Is my lunch order payment refundable?
A: Lunch order payments are non-refundable and will not be credited for missed days due to sickness or unanticipated school closings. Money collected in the above situations goes to the Home and School Association to support HSA-sponsored programs.
Q: Can I pay online by credit card?
A: Sorry, paying online by credit card currently is not available, however, we hope to offer this option in the future.
Q: What if my child forgets their lunch?
A: A limited number of extra lunches are ordered each day to accommodate students who forget to bring their lunch. However, because it is impossible to know in advance how many extra lunches will be needed on a given day, we cannot guarantee lunch will be available for every student who forgets lunch. If an extra lunch is provided for a child, the cost will be $5.00 (regardless of the meal package cost for that day), which will be added to your online account balance.
