I’m not getting any emails from a group?

This can be from numerous causes.  If your email otherwise seems ok, be sure to check these things:

• Make sure your group membership settings are set to receive email for each post to the group. The default value when subscribing to the group is “No Email”, if you didn’t read carefully when subscribing, you could have gotten the wrong setting and gotten the one to read the group over the web. To check your settings, login to Google Groups and click on the group name from your list of groups. Click on the “Edit my membership” link along the right panel. Select “Email” and then click “Save these settings.”
• Make sure messages to the groups are not being SPAM filtered.  Check your SPAM or Bulk email folder for the messages and mark them as not SPAM.  With some email clients you may be able to add rules to allow messages from our group names or from the googlegroups.com domain.
• As long as you can log in to your google groups account, you can also view all messages by logging in to Google Groups and clicking on the group name from your list of groups.

Why can’t I access a group?

All of our groups require approval to join.  Until your membership has been approved you will get an error stating that you are not a member of the group.  Once you apply for membership, it may take a day or two for us to approve your membership.

Why don’t I see my own post?

If you are using Gmail for your email, apparently it places a copy of your email in your Sent folder and filters out the copy that comes from the group. If you are in doubt about whether your post was accepted, you can view the post over the web by logging in to Google Groups and clicking on the group name from your list of groups.
