Google Groups - Mailing Lists

Everyone is encouraged to sign up and use the STMHSA-GENERAL email list for general annoucements. Other available lists are for parents of children in the afterschool program, for lunch program and auction volunteers, and for committee chairs correspondence.

 ** Individual classroom groups will only be made available upon request from teaching staff or the classrooms' room parent. **

Google Groups - Account Setup

To setup your Google Groups account and register your desired email address go to http://groups.google.com

1.        Click on the “Sign in” link at the top of the page.

2.        Click on the “Create an account now” link.

3.        Fill out the form with your desired email address and password and other required information. After you enter all the information click "I accept Create my account"

4.        In a few moments, access your email for the received activation message. Follow the instructions in the email to complete the activation of your account.

5.        Once your account is activated you are set to subscribe.

Google Groups - Group Links

Go to http://groups.google.com and click on the “Sign in” link at the top of the page.

Enter your Email address and Password and click on the “Sign in” box.

At this point you can click on one of our stmhsa- hyperlinks in the Sign Up and Subscribe! blue box above.

Within google groups you can find our groups by entering stmhsa in the “Explore groups” box and clicking enter.  Alternatively, you can click on “Browse all group categories”.  Then select “United States”, “North Carolina”, “Schools and Universities” and “Primary Schools”.  Paging through, you should be able to see our stmhsa groups.

  • Click on the “Apply for membership” link.
  • Enter your Join options and then click on the “Apply to this group” box. Be sure you set your Delivery method to “Email” if you wish to get an email for each message to the group.
  • Once the group administrator approves your membership you will receive an email informing you that you are subscribed to the group.

Google Groups - Groups Use

Once you are subscribed to a group, to send messages to the group, just address them to groupname@googlegroups.com.

Keep in mind that some of the lists (like the stmhsa-general list) are moderated, so your post will not be delivered until a list administrator approves it.

Also, you can view all posts to a list by logging in to Google Groups and clicking on the group name under the “My Groups” drop down menu.
