On behalf of the St. Thomas More Home and School Association (HSA), I would like to welcome you to the 2013-2014 School Year!
This will be an exciting year as we prepare to celebrate the 50th Anniversary of our School. Our Golden Jubilee events kick-off during Catholic Schools Week and continue through the spring.
I would like to welcome back our returning families and warmly welcome the large number of new families to our school community. We are so pleased to have you with us! STM School is truly a community and, as such, we all need to work together to create the best experience possible for our students, teachers, staff, and parents. That is where the HSA comes in. Since we have so many new families, I have prepared a short “orientation to the HSA” document that you can view at this link. Hopefully, it will answer your general questions about the HSA. For returning families, I hope it will provide a “refresher” on the role of the HSA within the STM School community.
In an effort to be more “green,” we will not be providing a printed Home and School Association Guide to parents this year. Instead, the parent guide can be viewed from this link.
Please refer to the guide for a list of the HSA officers and committee chairs as well as information about the committees and their volunteer opportunities. Volunteering is a great way to meet other parents, your child’s classmates, teachers, and school staff. It also helps you become more invested in your child’s education. As a Catholic institution, giving back is at the core of our mission. I encourage you to provide a good example to your children by giving back to their school. I promise that you will receive far more than you give!
Please feel free to contact me with any questions by clicking on the Contact Us link - found on the left all through the website.
Wishing you and your children a happy and blessed school year,
President, STM Home and School Association
